Celebrities united for International Day of Yoga’20*

Hosting a physical event on International Day of Yoga was impossible due to the pandemic, however this time with use of modern communication technology, Nidhi Kumar and Shlloka reached every house through their online Yoga day programme. Millions of people got an opportunity to take part in the Yoga programme; learn ISHA HATHA Yoga; and most importantly engage in a LIVE Q&A with guests. A one-of-a-kind digital program on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness was conducted digitally over the weekend by UNION and Red Carpet Entertainers. The event was presented by Amway India and powered by Ozone Organic Advantage. Paatlidun Safari Lodge, Eat Right Schools, Hriday Foundation,HealthSetGo, Global Mascot Makers, Qleen, Titli Jaipur and Ayushology were the associate sponsors. The Nehru Centre London was also the co-host.

This weekend program was spread over 2 days and 7 sessions where policy makers, yogis, spiritual leaders, industry experts, bollywood celebrities, authors, Ayurvedic & Homeopathic doctors, and nutrition experts talked about the ancient science of Yoga, its benefits, aims and its importance in today’s day and age. Some of the prominent speakers were Padma Bhushan Dr David Frawley, Padma Shri Dr Batra of Batra clinics, Author Amish Tripathi, Padma Shri Shovana narayan, Designer Ritu Beri and Director Madhur Bhandarkar, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP, Priyanka Chaturvedi.

Hosted by Union (A platform for complete physical, mental and spiritual well being) & Red Carpet Entertainers, this event was supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Eat Right Foundation and International Naturopathy Organization.

This LIVE event was broadcasted by popular social media channels, MOI, Sadhguru And, Green Dream Foundation, Spiritual TV and helped millions of viewers to join from across the globe. Many viewers sent in their questions and got answers live from the panelists.

With Coronavirus related stress fuelling the already skyrocketing anxiety and depression rates in the country, International Yoga Day became the perfect opportunity to address physical, mental, and spiritual wellness through use of modern day technology.

International Day of Yoga, IDY’20 was an amalgamation of leaders in the field of Yoga, Spirituality, Traditional Medicine, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Wellness – bringing them together on a single digital podium.

For the first time, there was a free offering of ISHA Hatha Yoga practices, designed by Sadhguru for children and their families, for FREE. This session was also broadcasted as part of the programme by popular social media channels, MOI, Sadhguru, Green Dream Foundation and Spiritual TV.

On 20th June, Saturday 12:00-1:00 pm, the programme was inaugurated by popular bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap; Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP, Priyanka Chaturvedi; Civil Servant & Kathak Exponent – Padma Shri Shovana Narayan; and the CEO of Amway Mr. Anshu Budhraja.

Later at 4:30 – 6:00 pm, a ‘IN YOGA’ segment was presented, a Live panel discussion with spiritual leaders – Mohan ji, Dr Frawley, Acharya Pundrik Ji, and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati ji.

In the evening at 7:00 – 8:00 pm, in ‘INSIGHTS- Eat Right India’ segment, personalities like Shri Pawan Agarwal, Special Secretary (Logistics)Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Former CEO FSSAI; Sh. Anant Biradar, President INO & Member, Governing Body National Institute of Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH; Ms. Isha Koppikar, Film Actress & Goodwill Ambassador of INO; Mr. Prabodh Halde, Head Regulatory, Marico and Mr. Anshu Budhraja, CEO Amway came together to dialogue on quality, food safety and policy matters.

On 21st June, a session ‘IN GOOD HEALTH’ brought together renowned pioneers of Alternative Medicine. There was a Live panel discussion and Q n A with Dr Mukesh Batra of Dr Batra’s, Dr Chauhan of Jiva Ayurveda, Dr Gauhar Vatsyanan HOD Panchkarma of Guru Nanak Ayurveda College.

In session ‘INWARD’, the hosts had a LIVE conversation with celebrated Bollywood director Subash Ghai and bestselling author Amish Tripathi – A soulful conversation about their struggles, their lives, books, about Shiva, importance of yoga and wellness was conducted.

And last but not the least, a session ‘IN LIVING WELL’ was hosted by the who’s who of Bollywood, in a soulful stirring conversation about their inward struggles to success, their lifestyles, health and fitness mantra. Guest list included India’s leading bollywood director; Madhur Bhandarkar, leading designer; Ritu Beri, Actor of Patalok fame; Jaideep Ahlawat; Miss India International and Model; Ayeesha Supriya Aiman, and Women Achievers from Amway

The session was hosted and moderated by Nidhi Kumar, celebrity show host and Shlloka; Yogi and Health & Nutrition expert.
